The island offers a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, kayaking, and more. Kiawah Island is also home to the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, which hosts the annual PGA Championship.
Kiawah Island is also one of the most well-known golf course communities in the Charleston area, offering several championship courses designed by some of the biggest names in golf, including Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus. The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island is famous for hosting the 1991 Ryder Cup and the 2012 PGA Championship.
